“Every new beginning comes from some other beginning’s end.” —Seneca

Have you ever been trying so hard to stay with a job and it no longer seems to be working for you?
You fall asleep when you are supposed to be working.
You arrive late to work and start not to care.
You get notified you get a complaint from a customer.
You try a new job but it is similar to what you just left. You are not getting the income you were hoping for.
Sometimes that could be a sign it is time to move on. Sometimes the universe has to push you in the direction you need to go to get your attention.
I've learned over the years that when things are no longer working or things are starting to feel like it is ending, there might be a reason for it. There is a reason for your life to shift to something even better.
I've had an instance in the past that got me to move out of Texas. I only dreamed and talked about moving out. I never did. I finally did about 10 years later. It was not of course until after a lot of resistance. You have got to admit that change can be scary, but it does not mean we shouldn't go for it. I love to say to my sister to get myself motivated to "go for gold".
It seems to be happening again. I've had a side gig as an independent contractor to teach English to children in Asia. At first, I was teaching students in China. The number of classes slowly faded. Luckily, I was asked to join the international team to team Korean children. Of course, I jumped for that chance. I love Korean food, dramas, and learning the language. It was actually going great. I was getting regular students and more new students each week. It is a temporary trial contract that ends on March 31st. It is a job I enjoy so much that I didn't mind working on the weekends. It was challenging at times but truly enjoyable. I enjoyed working again. Unfortunately, I wasn't feeling well and missed a handful of classes. The contract says I'm only allowed four no-shows/cancellations in one contract. Because of that one night, I went over the four. I was hoping that they would be understanding but I have not been offered another contract, and we are almost halfway through the month.
I actually feel disappointed because of it, but it might be for a good reason. The same day I got an email regarding a complaint from a parent from my contract due to that one night, I also got an email sent that my LLC has been formed! My own business. Something I've dreamed about for a long time. It is still in the early stages, but I'm hoping for nothing but good things to come. I don't think that is a coincidence.
It can be difficult to end what once was, but that allows even better things to come your way. Do you agree?
Have you ever resisted change and then later found out you were meant to do something different in your life? Maybe something that you only dreamed of?
