What does my future hold?

Some of us have the urgency to skip ahead and just know the answer or know what will happen. Some of us have a lot of our energy focused in the future. Constantly thinking about the future and what will happen instead of enjoying what is right in front of us.

One big area is the idea of marriage and the arrival of kids. Thoughts rushing through our heads about:

When will I get married?

Where will I end up? Will I have one kid or two kids?

Will I get the job I interviewed for?

All those questions have the same thing in common.

They are questions about the future.

Can we really be told the future?

My experience:

I have gotten a lot of short intuitive readings over the years. I have had predictions that I would get a job and then in a week's time it would happen. That reader's prediction actually came true. We then could immediately judge that she/he "is a good reader" because the person was able to predict the future correctly. Then on the other spectrum of the scale,

I've also had readings where it did not come true Not by a long shot. I would then wonder to myself if it was worth even knowing.

I have been taught how to see my own future and that of others through different methods and teachers. I would do a future reading on myself for a length of a year's time and maybe one thing would come true or none at all. It was hit or miss. I would also just get glimpses but not know how far in the future I was seeing. It would change or appear to be just an illusion that has yet to happen. I've learned that some people seem to be better at performing future readings. I, myself, am still developing the skill.

There are also some things about my future that has still not come to pass. Significant events that haven't taken place because it is still years into the future.

What my mentors have taught me:

Things change over time.

Futures change. If you just had a profound shift in your energy, that could change your future that you once saw. So, don't expect what you were just told from a reading to come true exactly how you heard it.

Your future can be much bigger and brighter than what was originally said. When you think about it, that is actually a great thing.

Final Thoughts

It really is up to you to decide what you make of what you hear or even if you would want a reading that involves the future.

Be open and make a mental note or physically write down what was said. Put it away and just see what happens.

There are different factors why something didn't happen. Maybe you decided to take a different turn in your life than expected. You head north instead of south. Or the fact that you heard all these wonderful things like it has already happened, and you don't do the work to actually make it happen. You don't take action. Or something else gets in the way.

Lately, I have not had the urge to have readings by others. I have been learning to trust my own intuition more. When I have wanted a reading, I have learned to lean towards readings that involved learning about my gifts, and intuitive readings that can help me in the present. Not focused heavily on the future.

Focused on what can help me now.

What has been your experience?

Have you been told something different regarding future readings?
