HOW TO PRACTICE WHEN YOU THINK YOU'RE CLUELESS

Updated: Sep 26, 2020

You just finished a psychic/intuitive class. Now what? How about practicing? Something that I know not everyone is fond of. By the way, you probably aren't as clueless as you think.

I remember taking my first intuitive development course in-person.

I think one of those most confusing/frustrating things about intuitive development is figuring out how and how much do we really need to practice to see progress. I've been told different things by teachers and healers. I think it all comes down to what works best for you as long as you are practicing. When you are practicing, you are moving forward. Right?

Luckily, there are different ways to practice that you may want to try out.

Here are tips and tricks I've found that help me:

Make it part of your daily habits or your routine

Include your practice in your everyday activities.

Do you like game shows or listen to the radio? I know I do. You can attempt to use your intuitive abilities and figure out who will win the contest on the radio or what the answer is to the question. At home, you can use your abilities to figure out who will win the game show or be eliminated that night.

I use a bullet journal to keep me on track. It is as little as practicing body scanning five people or using my deck of cards to intuitively know what color card or suit I will pull next.

If those ideas don't appeal to you, think of what you do on a daily basis that you can incorporate practice.

Find your tribe----your psychic tribe!

I've had the opportunity to live in a few different states. I currently attend psychic and mediumship showcases that are held weekly. With these types of showcases, you can practice your skills and be around people that don't make you feel so weird or in the closet. Before I moved to Washington State, I never even heard of psychic showcases. I am also part of a psychic group where people post questions, and anyone can answer to practice doing readings.

A wonderful way to find these type of groups are through meetups on meetup.com and groups online like Facebook.

Make your own group

If you are in a suburb or rural area, you may not have access to big groups focused on intuitive development. You can always create your own meetup or gathering. Maybe people are waiting for you to take the lead in your area.

Practice doing intuitive experiments

I have found the experiments on annasayce.com very helpful on getting feedback on my accuracy of reading photos, which can be really good in building confidence. Don't be so hard on yourself if you don't pick up on everything in the photos. I actually took one of her courses and hope to take more in the future.

Better yet--Find a friend or family member who supports you in your spiritual development to practice with

It can be a number of different things. I am lucky to have a family member and friends who have played psychic games with me like figuring out what color, number, or card the other person has chosen. I've done guessing what's in the box with my sister where she hides something in a box, and I have to use my intuitive abilities to figure out what she hid. We do those sort of things like guessing what's in the box in psychic showcases that I attend too. You can also pick a photo of someone you know well and have your friend or family member practice reading the person via photograph if that sounds fun as well.

Remember to be patient and have fun

It isn't a race. I even need to step back and remind myself to enjoy the journey. Some days you may get frustrated and impatient that you want to be a super psychic RIGHT NOW! I know how that feels like. Something or someone in your life has led you to want to develop your abilities. Take the time to be grateful where you are now in your development and enjoy what your gifts bring to your life.

What about you? How do you practice ?
